- Consumer Tendency Surveys – Household Purchasing Plans |
 |
The household purchasing plans is produced by the Statistics
Sweden, under the direction of NIER. The surveys have long
stressed the important influence of consumer spending and
saving decisions in determining the course of the national
economy.
Each
monthly survey contains approximately 20 questions with 6
possible responses, each of which tracks a different aspect
of household’s attitudes and expectations. The samples
are statistically designed to be representative for all Swedish
households and made from interviews of 2100 individuals by
telephone. From October 1995 the survey has been EU-harmonized.
